"Ill in Kathmandu"

Yes as the title states I am currently Ill whilst in Kathmandu! my first thoughts are that this isn't so good. Last night I was sick and and currently feeling very weak. I am having to stay at the hotel today to rest in the hope that I will be feeling well enough and hopefully better tomorrow so that I am able to go out with the others! I hope you don't mind me asking, but some prayer for my health would be pretty sweet! thanks :)

well now to update you all on everything so far!

First things first, we are here! we got to the hotel at about 19:30 local time on monday ( around 1:45 your time). the flight was looonnnnggg and we also flew over Iraqi and Iranian airspace at which point the pilot said over the Pa "we are now entering Iraqi airspace ad will be climbing to 41,000 feet." we also saw the speed increase on the screens infront of us as we casually made our way over Baghdad, Basra and then on our second flight as we passed over Iran.

It was a interresting experience coming out of the airport, we just walked straigh through customs, they didnt even look in our bags!! haha. they saw we we westerners and just told us to skip the queue and go past everything. so that was an answer to prayer! we were greeted by a small entourage of people with the children greeting us with flower necklaces they had made, it was very strange (from the point of view that they don't know us but welcomed us so wonderfully, and this wouldn't happen over here with the flowers and stuff) but so lovely! also on the way out of the airport we had a lot of people asking us for money and trying to carry our bags in the hope we would give them some. this was sort of heartbreaking but we couldn't give them anything.

The guys are going off to an orphanage today and somewhere else so I am pretty gutted that I will not be going with them.... like really gutted! but I am sure they will have an awesome time and I can't wait to look at the footage this evening when they come back. Driving around Kathmandu is absolutly brilliant! its better than any theme park ride ever! Listening to the array of fantastic car and motor bike horns is rather amusing!

Unfortunatly I don't have any phone signal here... I am trying to solve this but its harder than I first imagined... especially without being able to call 02 ask I don't have a phone! haha.

Well for now that is all! it has been an adventurous few days, even though it hasn't been a few days (you do the maths)

oh and Beth and Julia are amazing!!1 (is that good enough? hahaha)

I hope everyone is well wherever you are!

Chris

Glad you got there safely and had a warm welcome. Sorry you are unwell since arriving, but trusting you will be fit and well tomorrow, and todays filming goes well without your creative input.

    All for now

Really astonished (not) that you left something behind - not like you at all!
